Before he died of cancer at the age of 25 in 2009, JEFFREY MIKESKA lived a life of beating the odds. Despite being diagnosed with cancer when he was 13 months old, Jeffrey earned a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering and a B.S. in Biology from the University of Texas in Austin. For 2½ years his comic strip, Rocket Surgeon, ran in the Daily Texan, UT's student newspaper.
