CIEL INCARNADINE—née Feliza Bruzzone in Bogotá, Columbia—is a trained mask maker, collage crafter, costume designer, traveling illustrator, non-gallery curator and semiotics aficionada. Born into a family of visual artists and alchemists, she’s experimented with a wide range of media and exhibited her work in various cities along the Americas—from Barranquilla to New Orleans to Panamá to California to New York, where she now resides. When Ciel’s not investing her time in various forms of human expression, she finds grounding in the natural sciences—both in the field and in the classrooms, having worked with the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute and the American Museum of Natural History from 2008 to 2016. She’s currently working on making her way back across the Atlantic Ocean to Europe to seek an apprenticeship in tattooing, the continuous search for sustainability and maybe cheaper rent.
